Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Sweating is completely normal and necessary for the body to reduce heat. Severe, or excessive sweating, known as hyperhidrosis, is a phenomenon that can cause significant discomfort.

Small doses of muscle – relaxing injections are injected into the skin blocking nerve supply and preventing the glands from producing sweat.

This doesn’t cure hyperhidrosis but provides temporary relief for up to five to six months.

The skin in these areas is sensitive, and a local anaesthetic is applied before the treatment.
